Hello and welcome to our home. This is a very special place for us, and we love sharing it with our family and friends. If you have this hidden link, you can count yourself among them, and we would love to share it with you.
First and foremost, we do not rent this property. If you’re reading this, you’re our guest. It’s far too personal to rent so please do not ask if you can pay to stay here. You cannot and if you insist, you can’t stay.😉 This page is intended to answer some questions about where the property is, where to eat, where to get groceries, site-seeing, and anything else that can help you enjoy your stay. If you think of anything we could add, let us know and we’ll get it on here.
Our homes were built around 1730 and fully renovated between 2018 and 2024 by our good friend and master craftsman, Gregg Nash, and his wife, Laurie. We now count them among our closest friends. You will likely meet them.
There are two homes here and a large shop. The High House is the main house with two primary suites and the Low House, is a darling French farmhouse with three bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. A thriving garden and patios connect the two homes.
If you’d like to take a deep dive into the renovation of the house, here is the photo archive with 1000s of photos of the whole project.

What Are The Accommodations?
The High House
The High House is the main house on the property and took the longest to renovate. After all, it was a barn for almost 300 years. This home was meant to maintain the look and feel of the barn from the outside but reflect a modern and open design on the inside. It wildly exceeded our dreams and is a testimony to the work of the designers and craftsmen.
Amenities
- 2 primary suites with ensuite bathrooms. One bedroom with a queen bed and one with a king. One bathroom has a large soaking tub.
- Full home automation for lights and in-floor heating.
- Laundry room with a large washer and dryer.
- Fully modern kitchen with professional stove, convection stove, large refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, and natural stone countertops.
- Comfortable living room downstairs with a two-sided fireplace for the living room and kitchen.
- Media room upstairs with a large TV connected to USA VPN and many streaming services.
- Large, covered balcony with long views.
- High-speed fiber internet with wifi.
- Whole home audio with Alexa.
- Grill on the patio.
The Low House
The Low House is where it all began and continues to be a retreat that we often spend time in. A quintessential French farmhouse modernized to make it more functional as a cozy guest house conveniently connected to the High House through a country garden. Aimee and I spent many days and nights in this house both enjoying the charm and planning the renovation of the barn with Gregg and Laurie. It holds a very big part of our heart and we know we were not the first couple sitting in front of the hearth planning our future on the property.
Amenities
- 3 bedrooms with queen-size beds. Two bedrooms on the ground floor and one in the attic.
- 2 toilet rooms and 1 shower room.
- Big kitchen with cozy dining area. A cooktop, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and toaster are all available.
- Comfortable living space with room for as many as would be staying there with a roaring wood burning stove.
- Laundry room with mid-size washer and dryer.
- Radiator heating and AC units on both floors.
- High-speed fiber internet with wifi.
- Small media room with TV and streaming services.
- Whole home audio with Alexa.
- Firepit on the patio.
- Grill on the High House Patio.
What Do We Do When We Get There?

- Carrefour Brive-la-Gaillarde (large but 30 mins)
- Intermarche Pompadour (medium size and 15 mins)
Will have beer, wine and alcohol.

Eating and Drinking
So many incredible restaurants and we’ve given you a number of them here but breakfast with croissant, fruit and coffee will get you started and a hearty lunch is the way to go. Lunch will only be served between 12-2 so do not wait around if you’re hungry. Order whatever the plat du jour (plate of the day) is whenever possible. It is the most seasonal item the kitchen will be focused on.
